The Beech Hill College Film Club travelled to Dublin on Wednesday, 7th March for the Regional Heats of Young Irish Filmmaker Awards.  The competition took place in the Odeon cinema in the Point Village and the students were thrilled to watch their short film on the big screen.  The film, ‘Raise the Bar’ tells the story of a young boy struggling with life once more.  The competition is the largest of its kind in Ireland with over 1500 films submitted to the competition this year, making this a huge achievement for all involved.

This follows the success of last year’s film, ‘Shadows of the Mind’ which reached the National Final of the competition.  Both films can be viewed on the school YouTube channel, along with a promotional video of the school.  Ms. Foster and the students in the Film Club look forward to working on the next project.
