Beech Hill College was abuzz with excitement last Wednesday for their Creative School Celebration. Students showcased their talents from Boxing 5 time gold medallist Kaylin O’Hanlon-Geary to the wonderful voices of the Beech Hill College choir. Students used the opportunity to show their admiration for the TY Junk Koutureentries which had reached the Regional and National Final.
Students were presented with Gaeltacht and Stagewise scholarships and were entertained by Jamie Duffy on piano and the BHC trad group. The event ended on a high with past pupil Ryan Sheridan performing to a very excited student cohort. Ryan relayed many fond memories of his time in Beech Hill College.
Creative Schools is a flagship initiative of the Creative Ireland Programme to enable the Creative potential of every child. Beech Hill College is the only school in Monaghan to have secured the Creative Schools funding. Creative Schools is led by the Arts Council in partnership with the Deparent of Education and Skills and the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.
