This year, our Transition Year ‘Creative Schools’ students answered Crumlin Hospital’s call to get involved in fundraising by participating in the National Christmas Jumper Day. TY students developed their planning, teamwork and communication skills by organising the Beech Hill College Christmas Jumper Day. All money raised went to Crumlin Hospital for Sick Children.
The students were particularly passionate about this cause as their beloved classmate Mark Ward R.I.P had received such excellent care whilst in Crumlin Hospital.
The Christmas jumper day was a huge success in BHC with staff and students participating in this worthy cause. They raised over €1,400 for some of Ireland’s sickest children. BHC staff and students really enjoyed this activity, with some winning prizes for the best handmade jumpers, while doing something really extraordinary for Crumlin Hospital. Well done to all involved. BHC would like to extend a very special word of thanks to Mark’s parents, Brendan and Martina who visited our school recently and kindly agreed to bring the proceeds to Crumlin hospital.
